Expansion of Highway no. 3

This project of expanding Highway no. 3, from Nachshon Junction to Sha'arei Avraham Junction, turning it from a one-carriageway road into a two-carriageway two-lane road, was managed and supervised by Eldad Spivak Ltd. for Israel's National Roads Company.

As the expansion along this 14 kilometer segment took place, temporary traffic redirection solutions were built. A 3 kilometer strap was flattened for the railway route, and a grade separation was built in the meeting point between the railway and the highway.

For two years, there were two contractors working on the project simultaneously. All in all it lasted approximately four years, 2005-2009.

Project scope – approximately NIS 250 million ($70 million).
